One famous person from my country is Malala Yousafzai. She is known for her activism for girls' education and women's rights, especially in the Swat Valley in Pakistan where the Taliban had banned girls from attending school.

Malala was born in 1997 in Mingora, a town in the Swat District of Pakistan. Her father, Ziauddin Yousafzai, was a school owner and educational activist, which had a significant impact on Malala's upbringing and her passion for education. In 2009, when Malala was just 11 years old, she started speaking out publicly about the right of girls to go to school in Swat Valley. Her activism led to threats from the Taliban, and in 2012, she was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman while riding the bus to school. Malala survived the attack and became even more determined to fight for education and women's rights. She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, becoming the youngest person ever to receive the award.
