Describe an event that changed your life (or, changed you) in a good way. You should say:
- when it happened
- where it happened
- what the change was
- and explain how you benefited from this change.
One event that changed my life in a good way was when I decided to study abroad. It happened a few years ago when I was in my early twenties. I had always been interested in traveling and experiencing new cultures, but I never had the opportunity to do so until I got accepted to a university in Europe.
The change was that I was able to immerse myself in a completely new environment and learn about a different culture. It was a huge adjustment for me, as I had to adapt to a new language, a new educational system, and a different way of life. However, I found that I was able to thrive in this new environment and I became much more independent and self-sufficient as a result.
Studying abroad also allowed me to make new friends from all over the world, which was a life-changing experience. I learned so much about different cultures and perspectives, and it broadened my horizons in ways that I never thought possible. It also helped me to become more open-minded and empathetic towards people from different backgrounds.
Overall, studying abroad was a positive change in my life because it helped me to grow as a person and gain valuable life experiences. It taught me to be more adaptable, independent, and understanding of others.
