Describe a (very) intelligent person you know. You should say:

  • who this person is
  • when and where you (first) met them (him or her)
  • what this person does in life (e.g., work/ study)
  • and explain why you think this person is intelligent.

One person who I consider to be very intelligent is my friend John. I first met him in college, where we were both studying engineering. John is now working as a software engineer at a tech company.

I think John is intelligent for several reasons. First, he has an incredible ability to grasp complex concepts quickly. Whenever we were working on a difficult problem in class, John always seemed to understand the material faster than anyone else. Additionally, he has an impressive memory and can recall information from years ago with ease.

Furthermore, John is very creative in his approach to problem-solving. He has a knack for thinking outside the box and coming up with innovative solutions to difficult problems. I've seen him do this not only in our engineering courses but also in real-life situations.

Overall, I think John's intelligence is a combination of his natural abilities and his hard work. He has always been a curious and diligent student, and he continues to challenge himself in his professional life. I feel lucky to have him as a friend and to learn from his example.
